Frank Lampard

One of my favourite football players is Frank Lampard. He is a true legend and has offered a lot for his team. He is the all-time leading goalscorer for Chelsea where he played for 13 years and is considered by a number of journalists and football experts to be one of the greatest midfielders of his generation.

Lampard began his career at West Ham United, for which his father had also played. He secured a place in his first team by the 1997–98 season, and the following year helped the team finish 5th in the Premier League, their highest-ever Premier League placing. In 2001, he moved to rival London club Chelsea. In 2014, he was released by Chelsea after 13 years. After that Frank Lampard joined New York City FC on a two-year deal, in preparation for the club’s debut in 2015, as a free transfer. He has also played for another English team, Manchester City.

Lampard is an all-round and smart box to box player, who was capable of playing anywhere in midfield, throughout his career he has been deployed as a central midfielder, as an attacking midfielder, as a defensive midfielder, and even as a second striker sometimes. He was a very good player and also a very good person. I like this person for the passion he had in all of his games but also for his intelligence. He was a very smart player and I believe that it was his intelligence that made him such a good player. He was very collected as a player and has always played for the team. He didn’t have a problem to make an assist and didn’t care to break his own records. He only cared about winning.

In my opinion Frank was a legend and one of the best players in the world. Lampard is a role model for all the children that want to achieve something in football. He should also be admired for his passion and his character.
